Pre-Purchase Inspection

$175 approx. 1 hour
Buying a used piano is exciting but has potential hidden risks. Multiple times a year, I’ll have to let a customer know that the used piano they just purchased is either not tunable, or is in need of costly repairs.

Attention: To schedule this service text or call me at 435-770-3193. The online scheduler typically won’t allow you to schedule soon enough when a piano purchase is pending.

  • Includes a full inspection of the piano and written report.

  • Tuning pins are tested for the proper torque required to hold tuning

  • Soundboard is inspected for cracks and damage

  • Mechanical parts are tested for correct operation

  • Rough estimate is given on repairs and adjustments the piano needs. This information is helpful when negotiating with the seller.
